Inspiration

pottery barn ribbon dot shade=25.00

pottery barn silver leaf base=59.00

I used some items I found in
Pottery Barn for kids as inspiration to make some things for my BFFs little girls room. I have always wanted to decorate a girls room. I have been going to garage sales to collect things to recreate ideas I have found on Pinterest. I got a lamp for 1.00 at a garage sale a few weekends ago. I wasn't really sure that it worked. I asked the lady and she promised that it did and I thought I would take the chance to risk my 1.00 on a nonworking lamp because it would still be cute decor lol. I brought it home and spray painted it with a "chrome" color paint I had and then I cut the top part off of the shade which was only fabric hot glued on. I then measured the fabric against the burlap I already had at home (I used it a few years ago to decorate for Rylan's "cowboy" party) I then hot glued it on and put the lamp back together. The whole project took around 2 hours. I need to find the right color ribbon with the polka dots still but that will be a super simple addition. This lamp only cost 1.00!!!! You can not buy a lamp for a dollar anywhere! I am so proud of this project and excited to continue creating things! So lets say I wanted to buy the base and shade at Pottery Barn... I would have paid 84.00!!!! Keep watching to see what else is to come! I suggest looking online for your own inspiration :) Now know this is not an 84.00 lamp but it waaaay doesn't look like a dollar lamp either :) Once all my tiny projects come together I can't wait to take pics of all them in the room together.
