Best hot wing recipe ever!!

In my second month of Fitness magazine (which was a free year subscription from somewhere....) there was a recipe for wings and since last week at Winn Dixie I got 2 pounds of wings for under 4.00 I thought it was perfect. I also had two bottles of hot sauce I got for free from coupons. The recipe goes like this:

2 lbs chicken wings, split at the joint
1/4 C cayenne pepper sauce (like Frank's redhot) plus more for serving (I used Tabasco because I had that)
1 T freshly squeezed lemon juice (I used bottled lime juice)
3 T low-sodium chicken broth
3 large celery stalks, cut into sticks (I used FAR more than 3 lol... I love celery)

1. Preheat the broiler. Place wings in a large pot and fill with water to cover by about 2 inches. Bring to a boil; continue boiling 10 minutes, drain. (I split all my wings before boiling)
2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine cayenne pepper sauce, lemon juice and chicken broth (It didn't look like enough to me so I doubled the hot sauce and the lemon juice but my hands swell with too much salt so I didn't double the broth even though I use low sodium. I also rinsed the wings because a lot of the fat boils out to the top of the water)
3. Transfer wings to a broiler pan and broil, 5 to 6 inches from the flame (I did mine even lower because I am still learning with my broiler) until skin begins to blister and brown, 5 to 6 minutes. Turn wings over and broil 4 to 5 minutes more.
4. Transfer wings to a baking sheet, drizzle with reserved sauce and toss well to coat. Place baking sheet under broiler 1 minute to heat wings and sauce. Serve with celery sticks and extra hot sauce on the side. (mine didn't look like the pics and I thought that the hot sauce I used wasn't right so I decided to sprinkle some cayenne pepper.....very very very lightly on only one side..... then I used some seasoning called "dillo dust" we got some of this stuff for free when Rhett ordered a rifle part from a website called "LaRue Tactical" I just checked their site to see if they sell it and they don't, I guess they only send it out when you order something, anyway I really don't know what is in it but we are on our second bottle, it is pretty good! We used ranch and honey mustard salad dressing as dipping sauce and the honey mustard was amazing.

4-5 wings and 4-5 celery were 170 calories, 23g protein, 1g carbohydrate, 6g fat, 1g fiber (if you follow the recipe)

doing the same as I did your lips will be burning so good :) I kept shoveling them down so fast because they were so good and my lips were on fire! I love hot wings!! Its like good crawfish, if they aren't dripping off of your elbows then they probably aren't that good is what I always say, if wings aren't making your lips burn then something isn't right!
